Detection of magnetization loss in a PMSM with Hilbert Huang transform applied to non-invasive search coil voltage

چکیده
This paper presents a novel method for demagnetization fault detection in permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM). Demagnetization is common problem existing PMSM which deteriorates the performance and can lead to serious subsequential damages. Unlike most popular based on analysis of currents detecting this type fault, approach proposed analyzes voltage signal non-invasive search coil by means Hilbert Huang transform. Simulations are carried out with two dimensional finite element (FEA) different levels test capability detect PM faults.
